This piece is inspired by Wu Guangzhong’s painting “Pandas” from 1992. Regarding his “panda” creations, the artist said ”With fat bodies they have open minds. The black and white creatures spend their lives in the bamboo forest.” Wu Guangzhong did not paint pandas for the sake of panda. Originally he just wanted to show how the black and white color spots embrace each other. He intended to pursue “The heaven and earth turning upside down and the value of eternity”. Through the master’s touch, the Franz designer sees the peace and innocence of pandas in their interactions and tried to interpret the eternity and peace in the master’s eyes with 3-D porcelain art.
