Protection and Blessings ~ The Mugwort Tiger Figurine
The tiger, also called the king of animals, is said to be able to devour monsters and shun evil spirits. In the Chinese tradition, wearing a mugwort tiger on the Dragon Boat Festival can give protection by shunning evil spirits and warding off all treats. When tied on to a child’s back, a mugwort tiger can keep him or her safe and healthy, as if it was a real tiger guarding them all the times.
The “Protection and Blessings” decoration combines a mugwort tiger with a glutinous-rice dumpling (representing luck) and uses them as the design elements to symbolize blessings and good fortune for the collector.
